You have to think they bought them from the shop and are just hoping they sell out so they can make a profit...I could be wrong but who knows.

No, Invicta is not going to make a LE & only offer it to shopnbc. They have other distributers they need to keep in the loop. Same thing we saw with many limited models like the recent auto scuba & the auto revo. Shop may have first crack on certain models, but not sole exclusive rights.

If that were a $699 Buy It Now that would be a deal but $699 for an auction starting price is not a deal. Many retailers on Ebay use surrogate bidders to make sure any auction gets to a minimum price.

If they accept any "Buy Now" offer of $898.33 (SNBC's price) or less they do have them in hand and aren't waiting for SNBC's delivery.
Edit: I forgot to add SNBC's shipping of $14.99. So if they sell them for less than $913.32 they have them now.

That is not true. Someone bought one and posted pics, from another online vendor already right?
Can't trust a single word that comes from Invicta/ShopNBC when it comes to these types of 'Hype' statements....
Remember Invicta said that SHOPNBC had the entire quantity of the Reserve Scuba SW500 and it will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER BE FOUND AGAIN, SERIOUSLY GUYS IT WILL BE GONE FOREVER................BUY THIS RIGHT NOW OR BE SORRY!
Next week every online retailer and DOD were selling it cheaper...and still can be found for way below the Once Only shopNBC price.
So no, I do not believe that statement at all.

Points well taken. I did not read anything on the vendor they purchased the Sea Hunter from. I would like to know the number all of these have. It will make for some interesting conversation.

Unique Mechanics had these up on their site before they had even been shipped to SNBC for these shows. So, don't necessarily believe everything that you read.
Technically to say that SNBC had all of them is incorrect anyway if you want to take it to the very literal sense. I have had one of them since early March when I was in Basel. Ron (ripitron) has had once since earlier last week as the winner of the WatchGeeks 3rd Anniversary Grand Prize.

Well even if shop had 200 of each 3 colors, that leaves plenty to go around to other vendors.

I didn't watch every hour of last night's SNBC presentation, but I did hear Eyal say "only a 1000 are made, and they are going to be sold today. Which means to me SNBC has the entire production. The only way to tell is to see if they will be sold by other vendors in the near future. Maybe in the 5 hours of shows coming up they will clarify SNBC's exclusivity of these watches?

I know firsthand that UM and Marvins in Fla. have stuff before Shop does. I have purchased from both of them weeks before they showed up on SNBC. Got my Coalition Forces GMT from Marvins 3 weeks before the debut on Shop and I can't remember what I purchased from UM, but it was a few weeks before Shop got them.

Thanks Mike. This is killing me. I love the design and the movement but just measured my Levi and Venoms and I just don't think I can pull off that much more watch. Guess I'll just have to wait and hope for the 50mm version. PS, I've purchase 4 watches from that vendor and he is "A+". He has over 9000 positives and no negatives, can't go wrong there. I hope a fellow Geek can grab it for that price. T

Yeah...and that is why Unique Mechanics listing for the Sea Hunter said to "call for availability" in the ad.
I remember when the SAIV quartz on rubber came out. Lior had them out before SNBC did. Why? SNBC bought their amount and then programmed them to appear later. WoW picked up some of the remaining quantity and immediately made them available since they don't have to worry about programming a show.

All started with another thread I posted...this should be interesting.......how many are being made per color....like trying to guess how many marbles in a fish bowl...let's see..1000 total all 3 colors...1000 per color according to the web site earlier today....1000 only to shop balnce to the rest of the world? I am getting confused just thinking of all the possibilities and you wonder what those poor bastards are going through....lmao

Wasn't it PT Barnum the great entertainer, who said something about fooling some of the people some of the time but, not all of the people all of the time? Go Figure?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ummm....well, that is arguable...It is usually credited to Abe Lincoln (sometimes Mark Twain). The quote is, “You may fool all the people some of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all the time.”
The reason this cracks me up so much, is if he really knows any of P.T. Barnum's quotes, probably the most famous is "There's a sucker born every minute” WOW...doesn't THAT describe almost every WG we know? I think SlopNBC designs their entire sales tactics around this quote.
