Oris BC4 Flight Timer on Suede

Was on the verge of selling this watch. Giving it a second chance with a new strap. So here is the final product. Wife gave it a Meh! I'm liking it so far. Thanks jaw for the idea.

I like it except for the big knob.

What is the big knob for?

And no I'm not talking about "the big knob" - I do know what that one is for

The big knob rotates the internal bezel which can be used as a compass or 3rd time zone with 1/2 hour capability. Though not for everyone, the knob is part of the watch's charm.

Big knob ruins it for me too.
The strap is awesome though. The big knob,IMHO, is too big and too knobbish.

Nice - Can't beat the brown/black strap/dial combo IMO.

I hate to say it but I kind of agree with your wife. Just something about it doesn't mesh, I can't pinpoint exactly what it is but if I had to try I would vaguely say the strap is too soft for such a hard, toolish looking watch. Not sure if that makes any sense to you, but to me it looks like a rough around the edges, greasy gruffy hands on mechanic type dressed up in a suede suite, it just doesn't compliment the watches personality at all IMO.

Agreed jaw - I like the internal rotating bezel concept - just not the knob.

I sure loves me some Panatime straps!! I have a couple and they can make a watch.

Agree, it's a great strap for the price. I'll definitely be back soon as I get the Panerai.
