Omega London Olympics 2012 Watches
From Hypebeast:
Offered up is a look into the anticipated Omega Seamaster 1948 “London 2012″ watch – a timepiece that will see a release next year, just in time for the 2012 Olympic games. What makes it even more special is the fact that it comes on the anniversary of the last time London hosted the Olympics in 1948. As of March 2011, the watch was priced at $6,800 USD, although that has not been officially confirmed. Hodinkee offers its take on this upcoming design: “This limited edition is a more than reminiscent of the original and sized similarly too. Though, when we were shown the watch in Basel it was described as 38mm, and now that it is official, it is listed as 39mm. Did it actually get bigger? Probably not. Inside is Omega’s caliber 2202 with a power reserve of 48 hours.”

"Take this watch out ... take it your local jeweler. Take it to that high-end store and compare it to what you just purchased. Just hold them side by side ... you're gonna embarrass the other brand and the store because of what you have on your hand ... there's no comparison." - Eyal Lalo daring IWG buyers to make complete ass-wipes of themselves and take their POS to a jeweler on March 31, 2012, during a IWG Florida "special." He's pitching a $189.14 Invicta Leviathan - and Tim Temple echoed the sentiment that the watch compares with those that cost "thousands of dollars." Attention simpletons: Another Florida special is coming up in a few days - get those catheter tubes and Flintstones Vitamins ready, it's gon' be a ferris wheel of obfuscation!
