Terms of Service - Please read.

Welcome to Watchlords.

Enjoy yourself at this forum. It is at this time self-moderated following the former model at XMT and current model at TZ-UK.

Free Speech

1. We members at WatchLords pride ourselves as one of the few, if not the only free speaking watch forum society. With that freedom comes responsibility, common sense and discretion. Having said that, the Adminstration Team has the right to modify and/or delete any and all posts on this forum. A response with be sent to the original poster for reason of modification or deletion. Derogatory comments which I will not post are frowned upon. Common sense does not mean you cannot speak as adults, it means consider the other person. Some are not as shock proof as old timers.

2. Think before you post. I say this not because I want to moderate, I do not. I say this because if you libel someone, it is your issue, not the forums. A sticky outlining what is and is not Libel is posted in the General Discussions forum.

3. No religon or politics are allowed in the general watch forums. We have a forum for those topics, please use it.

4. Disclosure of private information will get you banned in seconds without a second chance. At least one forum used private registration information in an attempt to silence Koimaster, a former member who is the Admin of this forum. Subesquent to that, another attempt by someone in Eden Prairie to access another member's personal information was documented.

5. Comments that are insulting in nature to members or the families of a subject of discussions is not allowed. They are not responsible for behavior of others. Try to think how you would feel if someone insulted your wife or children.

6. Personal attacks are frowned on. If you have issues with another member take it to PM or use the friend/ foe feature in your profle.

7. New members are required to post on the forum in the first 5 days after having their registration activated. This is to check and confirm you are not a spammer nor using a proxy. Forum policy is absolute in this matter to protect members here. If a newly activated member fails to post in that period their account will be deactivated.

Threats and implied threats by the former ownership and Admin from Watchgeeks and even a background check were done in an blatant attempt to silence criticism of them and their major sponsor. Even if this board had sponsors, criticism is fair game when someone is asking you to spend your hard earned money on a product or service. I post this only to assure others that this will never happen at this forum.

New members pay attention, this is not watchgeeks or elsewhere. I do deactivate and delete accounts here on a regular basis. You are required to post in the 5 days after you register here. Some forums such as TZ-Uk will not allow you to register during certain hours in an attempt to keep bots and spammers out. We just ask you post, a simple request I think.
