Post by Mark2 on Fri Jul 16, 2010 11:12 am

I just noticed that Don's posts are listed as "guest", did something happen?

Don left to spend more time at his place. It is hard to run a forum and still spend time elsewhere. He can return here at anytime he wishes.

Hmm, I've left 2 other forums for far worse reasons than that but didn't have my account deleted....just sayin. I will stand corrected that I did have my account deleted at one forum....but not out of any animosity. Ended up coming back.

Don sent me a PM and would like to state this portion of it:

I felt my own comments were getting out of hand
and I was not comfortable with certain comments being posted about members of other forums........

Don...tattoo chef.

It's a shame Don couldn't hang around, but I can see his conflict. I would bet the way we layed into RipitRon has a lot to do with it. Ron has like a million posts over at watchfreaks. Also a lot of WG's are members at watchfreaks.

He had to have been conflicted about the hypocrisy of posting with impugnity over here while deleting and editing other's posts over there. He did it to me (on a Ripitraw thread.LOL) disallowing a pretty tame comment about Ronbo's behavior. He also wouldn't allow the term of endearment MD20/20.

I think censors should stay at censored sites.

To be fair to Don, it is pretty hard to run a forum in a certain way which is middle of the road (Not quite x rated but more than PG 13) and then come to a place like this which is X-rated. I understand why he left, and I am more than happy to have him register again in the future if he desires to.

This forum is not for everyone but I have noticed a slight change over the past 6 months. The forum has self moderated as it is meant to and forum members take it upon themselves to do so.

Works for me. This will always be the set-up here. No changes planned for the future. You guys here determine the direction the forum goes and make your own corrections just like TZ-UK does.

Don was very respectful in his PM to me, and I have no axe to grind with him. As Koi stated, he's always welcome back if he so decides.
This Site is not everyones cup of tea, that's for sure. We pull no punches here and are very proud of that fact.
