Progression of Watch Boxes
Here are the boxes I've had over the past few years. Key thing I looked for was that the box made the watches look interesting and nice when sitting in the box - which means it needs to look like a quality box with nice finish.
My cap was $50 per box (8-16 slot).
1) I started with a 3 slot black leatherlike box thinking I would only have 3 watches when I first started this obsession - crazy! *RESOLD*
2) I upgraded to a 6 slot wood box that was actually quite heavy and nicer than the usual tech swiss versions that I had seen everywhere, but I resold the box as my watch collection continued to grow. *RESOLD*
3) 8 Slot Perrelet *KEEPER - already posted about*
4) 10 slot that had to go because the burl stripe looked cheap - although nice from a distance. *RESOLD*
5) 12 slot and my first glass top, but the black piano finish showed too many imperfections. *RESOLD*
6) 16 slot Croton that had nice quality, but I could not get used the the 70's styling of it. *RESOLD*
7) 15 Slot that had everything I wanted at the time but was lacking in finish/quality. *RESOLD*
8) 12 Slot that wasn't exactly the color finish I wanted but the quality and finish was excellent - better than everything else I'd seen other than the Perrelet. *Resold once I got the 24 slot JTV Camphor*
9) 24 Slot JTV Camphor *KEEPER - already posted about*
Fortunately I got good enough deals that I resold every box for more than what I paid including shipping, paypal, ebay fees, etc.

Re: Progression of Watch Boxes
Good stuff here.
I really liked your Perrelet in the other thread.
for 44 scooters, if you see another deal like that
make sure to share the deal.
