Yes. A Wiki challenge! IWG was NOT started in Switzerland. In fact, I don't think the Invicta led by The Lalo was INCORPORATED until the 21st Century!

The original "Invicta" brand prior to Eyal buying the name may have originally been founded in Switzerland. Although it was never a major force in the industry there are vintage Invictas watches out there that are from a real(at one time) Swiss company.
I'm sure that the founders are rolling in their graves at what has become of their name.
(as are the founders of Elgin,Waltham,Benrus, and others).
