What replacement band for a Seiko Diver?
I have a seiko diver that's gonna need a new band soon (it's a Bill YAO with a rubber seiko strap now) and was thinking maybe there are some good alternatives to what i have on it now? Any suggestions? I was thinking about maybe a NATO but i have really become accustomed to the rubber strap that comes with a regular seiko diver ... so any good ideas are welcomed.

It's hard to beat the Seiko rubber straps. Either the vented or the wave strap.
If you want to go a little bolder, the Hirsch "Extreme" is a good rubber strap but it's about $80-$90.

Check out eBay seller wjean28. I have 3 of his bracelets on various SKX diver models. They are 22/20mm width, solid end links that take seiko fat spring bars and screw link adjustment.
He has 22/18 mm widths too.
He's in Canada so they get here quickly.
Here's one of his auctions for the 22/20mm model.

You can also contact him through WUS and get a member discount.

Sorry both my Monsters are on original bracelets. Also Monsters take 20mm not 22. wjean makes a 20/19mm straight end bracelet But I'm not sure it works on a monster. You can contact him directly. Email = WJean at richtree.ca (replace the 'at')

Re: What replacement band for a Seiko Diver?
Not to hijack your thread, but Thanks for the link.
I was thinking about a Watchadoo, BUT
I had ordered one before, in the wrong size (I ordered a 22mm instead of 20mm. This was before I owned calipers, so I eyeballed it incorrectly)
Upon receiving the Watchdoo, and realizing my error, I attempted to use my Bench Grinder to "trim" off 1mm on each side of each link.
I fucked it up, the grinder just kept eating away at the end link, and it looks like shit.
Here's a pic of what I mean.

warning: Do not attempt this at home.:)

. . . don't forget about Harold at Yobokies. The Anvil is a Watchadoo clone pretty much, but he makes fitted end links for some Seiko models . . .

Watchadoo is always a winner, but I would also look into Yobokies. Harold Ng is also a great choice. To contact him, just search for Yobokies on Photobucket. He runs the business out of there.

DUDE! What were you thinking? A bench grinder for 1 mm!!! 8-{(
I just looked at my watchadoo bracelet and it looks like the end link is pinned to the bracelet? Is there a reason I'm unaware of why you can't just get a 20mm end link set from the mfgr and change them?? Actually that set up looks really good too.

After I bought the watch pictured I saved the pics from the for-sale listing.

Good thought, but the whole bracelet is 22mm, and the links wouldn't mate properly with a 20mm.

Damn, a bit of research tells me I was wrong. Looks like you're gonna need a new set of end links then follow the instructions in the last post in this link:

yobokies@yahoo.com.hk
FYI I just bought a set of hands from him and they arrived in very short order; like 7 days.

You know, it might be cheaper for me to just contact watchadoo, and see if they'll just sell me a set of 20mm end links, that way I don't need to spend the cash for an entire new bracelet.
Hmmmm,
Also, thanks for the link to yobokies@yahoo.com.hk email.
For sure saving that for now, in case watchadoo can't help me out with end links first.
Thanks ALL!
