The Infamamous "Chinky bracelet on the Orient Mako"
The non SELs on the "mako" bracelet are a pain in the ass and give off a wrong impression of quality.
There is a plethera of people out there who don't like their Bracelets on the "mako" because it is "Chinky". They complain of it being loud and cheap. The bracelet is solid linked and is nice for a $100 day date auto.
I tried bending on the fold over links to pinch them up to the case like most threads I've seen on this subject. I say Do not do this that is not the problem.
The problem is caused by inferior springbars bending over time causing the seperation and thus the "Chinky" deal.
Here is my fix!

I got a #49 drill bit and drilled out the last link holding the endlink against the case.
I is .073" diameter taking minimal amount of metal out of the link. There was no worry of messing with the integrity of the link, it was fine as you can see in the photo below.
I then used the heavier springbar I did this over a month ago and my bracelet is still very tight.

As you can see the link is against the case as it Should Be!

Now here is the before "Chinky" Problem.

Fixing this is very easy and does the job.
Just replace the Springbars with heavier ones and don't scratch the Hell outta your watch like I originally did trying to tighten up the fold over links.

Well done. I have tubes of various size spring bars for all occasions.

That Morelatto bracelet is very nice FB! Where did you pick hat up? I looked on the website imprinted on the pic but couldn't find it there.

Re: The Infamamous "Chinky bracelet on the Orient Mako"
My bits came in today. I ordered a pack of 10 from amazon because I did not know how well they would hold up. You are right, it does not take out much. I did it very easily. Just waiting on the new spring bars now.
