Zodiac made by Fossil or just owned by Fossil ?

Okay, I have read the threads and some people say the Zodiacs are made by Fossil. Other people say that Fossil just owns the company and they are made by Zodiac at their own plant. I was in the Fossil outlet by my house and the sales associate told me that Fossil just owns the brand ( Zodiac ). The associate said that Zodiac has its own plant where they are made. Another interesting bit of info is that Burberry Watches are also assembled/made in the Zodiac plant. Can anyone confirm this ? The associate also said that Fossil wants the Zodiac brand to be the Rolex of Fossil. By the way this is my first post so go easy on me LOL.

Burberry, Armani, and Adidas watches are available at my local Fossil watch outlet, so that is telling.

Show me a picture of the Zodiac plant and I will believe that they are made elsewhere than right next to a Fossil watch.

I contacted Zodiac by email and here is their reply.

watches are made in a factory in Switzerland, totally separate from our
Fossil factory.

I applaud them for actually answering a customer's email, but their answer smells like a 51% 49% "Swiss Made" deal.

That said, every Zodiac under Fossil I have owned was well made with good fit and finish. I have never owned or handled a Fossil to compare.
