Thanks, guys! It's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH2. I got it on the recommendation from Pacifichrono over at BDWF.

I have the DMC-L1. I just need to learn how to use it. Right now, I don't know how to get good close-up shots. I don't own a micro lense that will work on my Lumix. Switching from a film SLR to a Digital has been diffilcult for me for some reason.

Thanks, T, and Smokey says thanks as well. The freemont is my current jewel in the Conjurer crown, if you will. Dave MacCready made only eleven of them to celebrate his son going to Spain for several months as a student. He ran an advertisement for them in IW a couple of years ago, and I was lucky enough to snatch one.

The one I have is a simple point and shoot; believe me, bc, I shot off a lot of pics this afternoon to come up with a few good ones. The Lumix seems to auto-focus better than the Nikon Coolpix I've been using for a few years. I used to shoot film way back, but even with decent cameras, I couldn't take a good picture to save my life. Digital is definitely much better, and easier.

I'm considering selling the Excursionist, simply because I have the newer Orient Star GMT. I don't think I'll ever sell the World Timer, since it's simply such an absurd value there's nothing out there I could replace it with for four or five times the cash.

It has a f2 summacron Leica lens. Great for DOF

In case anyone wants to know, you can go over to any camera shop, used camera shops even better, and get the lens stackable micro lens. You can really get close up shots on the L1
Not every lens is a macro, or good for close ups.
Some are three feet and further.. Bad for this.
Anyone need help, I will try or go to 1001 cameras web site. Plenty of great places to get the info and find friends using the same camera. Like the watch forums but way more informative in that brands play a larger role.

I used a Lumix for the vast majority of my China shots...great camera for a point and shoot. Astonishing for night/neon shots.

Some cameras aren't ticket cameras but just cameras to monitor things... If it turned red and you were still behind the white line then there's a chance. But if it turned red when you were in the middle of the street i doubt it.
