Ding-Dong. Ding Dong. Nope, that’s not the sound of the doorbell. It’s the Patek Philippe Minute Repeater Reference 7000R-001 that’s reportedly now wrapped around Angelina Jolie’s wrist, rumored as a pre-wedding gift from partner Brad Pitt. And what a beauty it is!

Minute repeaters are usually housed in large cases to accommodate all the mechanics. Patek Philippe managed an elegant 33.7mm rose gold officer’s-style case by placing calibre R 27 PS inside, one of the thinnest striking movements produced. It’s also convenient because, as one of the few self-winding minute repeaters, Angelina doesn’t have to worry about a daily wind.
