Quick question...............
....about quick change dates.
Why don't russian watches have them in this day and age.
I can understand the feature lacking on older models but can't they modify existing or develop new movements to add the quick change feature. It's the main reason I have so few and wear so infrequently my Russians.

Russian calibers have not changed much since their introduction, so the 3133 and it's derivatives have quick-ish date change mode by advancing the time past midnight to affect the first change, then reversing to 10, and back to 12 again for subsequent date changes.
Vostok has a similar method, except you must reverse to 8 before changing the date again at 12.
Slava had the best method - at least for advancing days of the week, with a separate pin-set lever.
